Genius idea for converting an unused space. The Corten steel shell that hosts a multi purpose studio was craned into the remains of a nineteenth century brick dovecote at Snape Maltings in Suffolk.
Pulled together by designers David Khouri and Roberto Guzman of Comma, and Christiaan Bunce - formerly of Christiaan Bunce Design. Despite the collection's contemporary aesthetic, pieces combine traditional materials - ranging from fumed white oak to silicon bronze - with time-honoured craft techniques, including leather moulding and precious metal plating.
Called Zorro, the lamp can be positioned balancing on three points or with the arms parallel to the wall and floor. The anodised bent aluminium tube supports 90 LEDs encased in acrylic.
